In addressing the design challenge of decorating the odd-shaped room adjacent to our clients’ foyer, we decided to turn it into a formal living area. We introduced Yin Yang sofas with soft design lines, and light upholstery to bring more light into the space, against the backdrop of teal walls our client did not want to repaint. Unique center tables mimicking the room’s shape were selected. We added sculptural wall elements for more interest helping create a memorable ambiance. To add warmth, we selected a rug with an abstract organic design. The result is a stylish and functional formal living room that harmonizes the room’s teal backdrop with a unique and contemporary design, meeting our clients’ visual and practical needs.
